Day 1: Arrive Yogyakarta – Welcome Lunch (L)
Arrival at Yogyakarta International Airport. Welcome by our representative. Transfer to Semawung Village, about 30 minutes by car to discover the local life of Javanese, traditional houses. We will prepare a local lunch, to welcome you, what we call Tumpeng.
After lunch, we will take a walk in the countryside to discover the daily life of the Javanese before going to Yogyakarta. Installation at the hotel

Day 2: Yogyakarta City Tour (B)
A day to discover the city of Yogyakarta. We will take a Becak (cyclorickshaws) to go to the city center. Started with a visit to the city market on the main street of Malioboro to learn about local life and all the local products: vegetables, fruits and cakes.
Continue to visit the Sultan's Palace what we call the Kraton. The Kraton is the main residence of the Sultan of Yogyakarta and his family. Kraton is considered the center of Javanese culture. Every day, you can attend traditional dance rehearsals or music or Marionette. Afterwards, you will continue to visit the bird market which is very famous in Yogyakarta.
Afternoon, you will visit the small Batik workshop. Batik is a traditional fabric of Yogyakarta. It is considered as the World Heritage of Humanity of Indonesia. Continue the visit of Sonobudoyo Museum to discover the culture, architecture, history of Java. If you wish you can walk in the district of Kauman, and the labyrinthine alleys near the great Mosque of Yogyakarta.

Day 3: Borobudur and Walk in the Rice Fields
In the morning, You will visit Borobudur Temple, the largest Buddhist temple, surrounded by the active volcanoes of Java: Merapi, Merbabu, Sindoro and Sumbing. The temple is built on a hill, composed of nine piles of terraces, six square, and three circular, crowned by a central dome called the Stupa. This temple was decorated by 2,672 bas-reliefs and 504 Buddha statues. The central dome is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues, each seated in a perforated stupa. Built in the 9th century during the reign of Shailendra Dynasty, this temple is designated in Javanese Buddhist architecture, The Mandala a design of the mixture of indigenous Indonesian ancestor worship to attain Nirvana.
Afternoon, Transfer to the Village famous for the rice terraces at the foot of Sumbing Volcano. We will walk through the villages and rice terraces to discover the daily life of the Javanese and its rice crops. You will find a beautiful little Hindu temple at the end of your walk.

Day 4: Nglanggeran + Prambanan Hike
After breakfast, Transfer to Wonosari about 1h30 drive to do a beautiful hike on the ancient Nglanggeran Volcano passing beautiful volcanic stone blocks with a beautiful view of the rice terraces and the volcanic region.
Afternoon, you will continue to visit the Prambanan temple. Built in the 9th century by the Sanjaya Dynasty, Prambanan is known as the largest Hindu temple and the most exquisite temple in Indonesia. This temple is composed of 340 temples of which the three main temples are dedicated to the Trinity: Brahma, Wisnu, and Shiva. On the walls, carved the bas-reliefs of Ramayana, the story that is presented in the Dance and Puppet show.

Day 5: Yogyakarta Train Mojokerto – Bromo
Transfer by morning train from Tugu Yogyakarta station. Departure at 06.45 and arrive in Mojokerto at 10.10.
Continue the journey to Mount Bromo via the highway to the town of Probolinggo before taking the mountain roads and discovering beautiful landscapes with terraced vegetable cultivation.
Afternoon, we will climb Mount Bromo in complete serenity without too many tourists (about 3 hours of walking there and back). You may be the only tourist. If you are lucky, you can discover a beautiful sunset.

Day 6: Bromo Sunrise – Seruni Trek – Kalibaru
Departure at 02.30 from your Hotel. Transfer by Jeep about 45 minutes to discover a magnificent landscape on the large caldera and its active volcanoes of Bromo, Batok and Semeru at sunrise.
After sunrise, we will hike through small paths, very little known by tourists, going down to the point of Seruni. It is a discovery of beautiful landscapes without too many tourists. Seruni is a viewpoint about 300m below the Penanjakan.
You find the Jeep to return to the hotel for breakfast.
Mid-morning, Transfer to Kalibaru, a village of coffee growing center. You will pass the Jember region, famous for the cultivation of tobacco for cigars. If time permits, you can stop to visit the tobacco growing center and the drying of tobacco leaves.

Day 7: Visit to the Botanical Garden and the Fishing Village – Banyuwangi
After breakfast, Discovery of Kalibaru, a village renowned as the center of coffee and cocoa cultivation. You can visit a botanical garden to discover various tropical plants and various spices like ginger, turmeric, savrant, cinnamon and the manufacture of coconut sugar.
Afternoon visit to Muncar, the largest fishing village renowned for its beautiful typical boats with local designs and colors.

Day 8: Ascent of Kawah Ijen > Ketapang.
Early rise to climb Kawah Ijen at sunrise, having a magnificent view of a large lake and turquoise water. The island is considered the largest sulfuric lake in Indonesia. Every day, porters take 60kg – 125kg sulfur blocks of load on their backs in the pagniers.
Transfer about 1 hour by car to Paltuding 1800m to start the climb of Kawah Ijen. After 1h30 of walking, You will arrive at the top of Kawah Ijen 2386m. The best time to visit Kawah Ijen is at 05.00 – 07.00
Go down to Paltuding and return to your Hotel for breakfast and a shower.
Transfer to Ketapang port to take the Ferry to Bali.
Welcome in Gilimanuk by the Bali driver who accompanies you to your Hotel in Pemuteran Bali.

NOTE :
* Borobudur, Prambanan, Sultan's Palace are closed every Monday,
* Borobudur has a quota of 1,200 people/day who can go up to the temple and it is open from 09.00 – 17.00. There is no more visit at sunrise.
* Bromo will be full of tourists and locals during the weekend and school holidays. We recommend you to do Bromo on weekdays.
* Kawah Ijen is closed every first week of Friday
* At Kawah Ijen it is forbidden to go down to the Crater. You cannot see the blue flames.
