GUIDE DE VOYAGE

TRAVEL GUIDE

A free 30-day visa is granted upon arrival at any Indonesian international airport to citizens of most countries.

Travelers can also apply for a 30-day tourist visa (EUR/USD), renewable once in Indonesia for an additional 30 days.

If you are unable to obtain a 60-day visa on arrival, please contact the Indonesian embassy or consulate in your country for assistance.

Important: Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended date of entry into Indonesia. This is a mandatory requirement for visa issuance.

Each traveler is allowed to bring up to 1 liter of alcohol into Indonesia. It is also worth noting that cigarettes are significantly cheaper in Indonesia, with an average price of around IDR 30,000 per pack.

Travelers are strictly prohibited from bringing illegal drugs into the country. Indonesia imposes severe penalties, including the death penalty, for drug trafficking and possession. Importing weapons and pornographic material is also strictly prohibited by Indonesian law.

Eating out in Indonesia can be very affordable. A meal at a local restaurant serving traditional Indonesian cuisine can cost as little as $3 per person, excluding drinks. For international guests or hotels, meal prices typically range from $5 to $15 per person.

Please note that alcoholic beverages are relatively expensive compared to local products and soft drinks, especially in tourist areas and licensed establishments.

Over the past decade, the price gap between Indonesia and Europe has narrowed considerably. However, Bali and Indonesia remain an affordable destination, especially for those who embrace the local lifestyle. That said, most tourists, even the most adventurous, tend to spend more, often driven by expectations related to comfort and hygiene standards.

It's important to note that the availability of budget accommodation has declined in recent years, particularly in Bali and the Gili Islands. Additionally, some leisure activities such as diving and white-water rafting are offered at prices similar to those in Western countries.

Price examples:
Pack of cigarettes: IDR 30,000
