After breakfast, the day begins with a warm encounter with the village children during a visit to a nursery or primary school. Smiles, curiosity, and spontaneous exchanges make this moment particularly touching and offer a glimpse into the daily school life of young Javanese people.
Back home, time for a Javanese cooking workshop. Alongside the hostess, you will learn the secrets of local recipes and participate in the preparation of traditional dishes. A convivial moment where simple cooking techniques become a true cultural exchange.
In the afternoon, we will set off on foot towards the rice paddies surrounding the village. Accompanied by the locals, you will discover the daily work of the farmers and the different crops that nourish the region: rice, cassava, peanuts, beans, and chili peppers. DAY 3: BOROBUDUR
In the morning, you will set off to discover one of Southeast Asia's greatest masterpieces: Borobudur Temple, the largest Buddhist temple in the world. Located in the heart of a vast, fertile plain and surrounded by Java's majestic volcanoes – Merapi, Merbabu, Sindro, and Sumbing – this impressive monument rises on a hill like a giant stone mandala. Built in the 9th century during the reign of the Shailendra dynasty, Borobudur is a masterpiece of Javanese Buddhist architecture. The temple comprises nine superimposed levels – six square terraces and three circular ones – crowned by a large central stupa. Its walls are adorned with 2,672 intricately carved bas-reliefs and 504 Buddha statues. On the upper terraces, 72 openwork stupas each house a Buddha statue, creating a unique spiritual atmosphere.
Borobudur represents the cosmic vision of the mandala, a symbol of the path to enlightenment, and reflects the fascinating blend of Buddhist beliefs and local spiritual traditions of ancient Java.
In the afternoon, transfer to the city of Yogyakarta. You can relax and take some time by the pool.

DAY 4: YOGYAKARTA & PRAMBANAN TOUR (B)
A morning dedicated to exploring the city of Yogyakarta. We'll take a becak (a cycle rickshaw) to the city center. We'll start with a visit to the city market on Malioboro Street, the main thoroughfare, to experience local life and sample all the local products: vegetables, fruits, and pastries.
Continue your tour of the Sultan's Palace, which we call the Kraton. The Kraton is the main residence of the Sultan of Yogyakarta and his family. The Kraton is considered the center of Javanese culture. Every day, you can watch rehearsals of traditional dance, music, or puppetry. Afterward, you will visit the bird market and a small batik workshop. Batik is a traditional fabric of Yogyakarta and is considered part of Indonesia's Intangible Cultural Heritage.
This afternoon, you will continue your visit to Prambanan Temple. Built in the 9th century by the Sanjaya Dynasty, Prambanan is known as the largest and most exquisite Hindu temple in Indonesia. The temple complex comprises 340 temples, the three main ones being dedicated to the Trinity: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The walls are adorned with bas-reliefs depicting the Ramayana, a story presented through dance and puppetry.
