He is the founder of Java Exotic Tour and much more than a tourism professional: he is a true Indonesia enthusiast. A former French-speaking guide since 1995, he has dedicated his life to exploring the wonders of the archipelago. From Java to Sumatra, from Bali to Lombok, passing through Flores, Komodo, Borneo, and Sulawesi, he has explored every corner of the islands. Today, Indonesia is like an open book to him… one he knows by heart.
Over the years, Heri has developed a deep understanding of local cultures, landscapes, and traditions, making each trip an authentic and human experience. Outside of his work, he nurtures his passion for nature through hiking and cycling—activities that reflect his love of discovery and simplicity. Drawing on his extensive experience, he now wishes to share with you not only his knowledge but also his vision of travel: sincere, immersive, and enriching. Guided by his father's words, "Urip iku Urup" (Life should be like a lamp that illuminates the world and brings its light to others), this philosophy continues to inspire his commitment: to make every trip a meaningful experience—for you, as well as for the communities he encounters.

Pertiwi

She is Heri's wife and plays an essential role in the soul and organization of Java Exotic Tour.
A former bank manager and mother of one son, she is known for her strong discipline and organizational skills. But behind this rigor lies a warm and welcoming woman, always happy to open her home and greet you with generosity. At Java Exotic Tour, she handles reservations and organizes trips for domestic clients.
If you choose to stay at our Joglo Semawung guesthouse, Pertiwi will personally attend to every detail of your comfort. She will take pleasure in preparing your welcome… and can even introduce you to Indonesian cuisine through friendly cooking classes, right in her home. With her, your stay will be more than just a trip; it will be a true immersion in Javanese hospitality.

Indah Cahyo

Curious and passionate about the world, she loves learning languages—English, French, Chinese, and Dutch—always driven by the desire to communicate better and connect with travelers from other places. An avid reader, she nurtures her imagination and open-mindedness through books, which enriches her creativity every day.
Dynamic and disciplined, she plays several roles within the team: responsible for social media content, particularly Instagram, travel designer and itinerary creator, but also a guide in the field.

For her, travel isn't just about sitting behind a desk. She loves accompanying clients, sharing authentic moments, and showcasing Indonesia with energy and sincerity.

Pri-Pri

He is one of the main drivers for Java Exotic Tour, and will most likely be your travel companion on your trip… especially if you have chosen a package without a guide.

His driving is known for being both smooth and reliable, allowing you to travel with peace of mind on Indonesia's sometimes busy roads. But his role doesn't end there. Ahmad joined Java Exotic Tour as an intern for a period of 4 months.

Wowon

He married a woman from a royal family and possesses a deep knowledge of Javanese culture and philosophy. Within our team, he is considered a true "teacher," passionately sharing his knowledge and experience.

Former president of the association dedicated to training young guides, he devoted part of his career to supporting the new generation and preserving the authenticity of local cultural values.

Fajri

Originally from Yogyakarta and a graduate of the local university, Fajri is our specialist guide for domestic travelers.
Passionate about Javanese culture, local cuisine and traditional philosophy, he enjoys sharing an authentic and profound vision of Java with visitors.

Hemi, also known as Suhaimi, a graduate in French studies and originally from Sumatra, has lived in Yogyakarta for over 20 years.

Before joining Java Exotic Tour, he worked as an independent guide, developing an authentic and personal approach to accompanying travelers.
A great lover of gastronomy, he enjoys introducing and sharing the different local cuisines, always with enthusiasm and generosity.
