ITINERARY:
- Day 1: Arrival at Yogyakarta

- Day 5: Bromo and Penanjakan Tour > Kawah Ijen

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN YOGYAKARTA
Arrival at Yogyakarta International Airport. You will be met by your guide and/or driver. They will take you directly to your hotel.

DAY 2: VISIT YOGYAKARTA + PRAMBANAN
After breakfast, you will travel to Prambanan to visit the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia. Considered the most beautiful and refined in the country, Prambanan was built in the 9th century by the Sanjaya dynasty. The complex comprises 240 temples, both large and small. Prambanan is dedicated to the Trimurti (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva). The temples are adorned with bas-reliefs depicting the story of the Ramayana. You will have the opportunity to attend an evening performance (see program). After visiting Prambanan, you will return to Yogyakarta to visit the Sultan's Palace, also known as the Kraton. The Kraton was the main residence of the Sultan or King. This visit will allow you to discover Javanese life, philosophy, and architecture. You will then visit Tamansari, the Sultan's former water palace. The Tamansari complex is now in ruins; however, only a few remnants remain, such as the gate, the pool, a hidden mosque, and an underground tunnel. Populations later settled there. This visit will allow you to discover authentic Javanese life around the Kraton.
In the afternoon, you can visit the bird market and discover the artisanal production of batik, a traditional fabric, as well as silver objects.
Night in Yogyakarta
DAY 3 : BOROBUDUR AND MEET THE LOCAL
After breakfast, transfer directly to Magelang regency, about 40 km from Yogyakarta city center or 1-hour driving to visit Borobudur temple. Borobudur is one of the most visit temples in Indonesia. Borobudur is the biggest Buddhist temple in Indonesia made with the volcanic stone in 8th Century. From Borobudur, you will be taken to visit one of the villages around the temple to see how the local lives.
Overnight stay at Yogyakarta
DAY 4: YOGYAKARTA – BROMO (BY TRAIN)
Early departure from the hotel to reach Yogyakarta train station and continue your journey to Surabaya. Upon arrival in Surabaya, your driver will be waiting to take you to Cemorolawang, a village located on the shores of the Tengger caldera, where you will spend the night to admire the sunrise over Mount Bromo the following morning.

DAY 5: PENANJAKAN – BROMO – IJEN
Transfer by jeep (approximately 45 minutes) to Penanjakan to admire the sunrise over the magnificent Bromo caldera. After taking photos, descend to the bottom of the caldera to reach the Bromo crater (approximately a 45-minute walk). Return by jeep to the hotel for breakfast, then continue the journey to Kawah Ijen (approximately a 6-hour drive).
Night in Ketapang Indah
DAY 6: BANYUWANGI CITY TOUR – PLANTATION AND FARM VISIT
Take advantage of this day to explore the city of Banyuwangi and visit the first Chinese temple in the region. Afterwards, head to the village to discover coffee and rubber plantations, among others. End the day with a stroll through the rice paddies.
Night in Ketapang Indah
DAY 7: KETAPANG – KAWAH IJEN – BALI
Transfer by jeep to Paltuding, the starting point for the Ijen crater hike (1 hour). From there, it's a 1.5-hour hike to the summit. After the climb, transfer to Ketapang port to catch the ferry to Gilimanuk, Bali. Then, transfer to Pemuteran, in North Bali, where you can relax and enjoy scuba diving or snorkeling at Menjangan Island.
