One day is dedicated to discovering Javanese culture. Borobudur Built in the 9th century by King Smaratungga, it is considered the largest Buddhist temple in Indonesia. It consists of ten terraces—comprising six square levels and four circular ones—culminating in an upper level dominated by a large stupa. Borobudur offers breathtaking scenery, especially... at sunrise.
In the afternoon, we will head into the countryside to meet local Javanese people and experience their daily lives. You will go for a bike ride to discover the local way of life and various tropical plants, and sample local cuisine.
