Pacitan is a region in East Java, yet the common acces to reach the region is by Java Central or Yogyakarta. If you depart from Yogyakarta by car, it takes 3-4 hours to arrive in Pacitan. The region is known for its caves. In fact one of the cave, Gua Gong, is considered as the most beautiful cave in South East Asia. But ot only Gua Gong, Gua Luweng Jaran is also allegedly consider as the largest cave also in South East Asia.
Pacitan is habited by 728.049 habitants, and just like Gunung Kidul Region in Yogyakarta, most of the area is a karst mountain. Not only known for the caves, recently this region has also known for its beaches. Some white-sand-beaches that you can visit in Pacitan are:
